Joeman Family Christmas.

Everyone was here. All the family. Dad was with his kids and all ten of his grandkids!*picture*. Great food. Great desserts! A traditional english trifle! But more importantly a time with family without arguments, without hate, without malice. This was truly a Merry Christmas. With hopes for the new year filled with happiness and laughter. Happy Christmas to everyone! Love, Warren

Christmassy saturday;-)

We set up our christmas tree tonight. To the strains of Michael Buble singing about his Grown up Christmas List and Kelly Clarkson's O Holy Night. I heard last night that in the Philipines, they celebrate Christmas for all months that end in 'ber' so I'm 2 months late already! Deck the halls! Christmas is here! Peace on earth and goodwill to all. WaZzA

Chocolat...

We make chocolate truffles and pralines at work. It's a labour of love! What with the tempering of it so it's shiny when it sets to making of the delicious filling like strawberry, mango, caramel with sea salt, crunchy hazelnut, almond gianduja. To the careful molding and dipping of the individual pieces. Our handcrafted chocolates are delicious tempting and oh so sinful! We even wrap it in gold foil for that touch of extravagance. Hmm... I think i will help myself to another milk chocolate coated almond strips rocher! Yummo!

Dig Digweed!

Matt & Kellie

Kellie & WaZZa

Digweed

Thanks to Jeremy who got us in to watch Digweed spin on Saturday. WOW! it was fantastic, though i wished the pace was harder and faster but i kept on forgetting it's not trance or techno, it's progressive but it was certainly uplifting. After the lights went up, the crowd chanted "we want more, we want more, we want more".. so John being the English gentleman spun a couple more tunes for us!

left us uplifted and wanting more.... Digweed is Special!

and oh, if you're wearing a scrunchie to Zouk, don't bother coming! and if you're her friend, slap her and tell her scrunchies are not proper attire for a club.

and oh as well, if you're a dance leaner... god please don't lean on me and forgawdsakes don't be telling me off for accidentally leaning on your friend when your big butt was the one that was leaning all over the place in the first place.

and oh i just love two for 1 drinks... feels magnanimous when you're actually spending a small sum. lol

To Terrengganu and back!

First it was 480 pax, then 560pax then 650pax.... lucky we prepared for 700pax.

This was the Western set dinner for the Majlis Raja-Raja held in Kuala Terengganu.

Space was tight and hot what with chefs shouting around us, and service staff bumping into us...ishhh...

but I had some time to have a walkabout the town which was quaint and quiet and by the sea.
So here are some pics.

and it came and went.....

As birthdays go, i'm not one to make a fuss about my own. when someone asks me what i'd like for my birthday i'll say.. I don't know.

This time round was no different. Well I lie, it was mad because i had a day off on the day of days for me but then as it would be, i finally didn't get a day off because work was too busy on that day. So i worked til 11pm and had to postpone my birthday dinner til the next day.

Had a few good friends over for lasagna, garlic bread and cake. Colin brought some delicious beef goulash he'd made at college. yummo! Panya had to have a bit of a snooze after the feast.. heheheh

You need cake, even a pastry chef needs cake on his birthday.

Had the simplest cake ever. nothing fancy. Just good flavours. Oolong tea cheesecake with a digestive biscuit base and fresh blackberries.

Thank you all so much for coming (Joseph, Marilyn, Colin, Matt, Hussin, Panya, Andy and Hussin's lil brother too!) another day older and another year meant to be wiser.

Good food, great conversations and most of all loving friends.

p/s Got some cool birthday presents, 3 hats, yes i'm so into wearing hats this year! a disco ball on a necklace chain and ooooooohhh my new Sony Ericsson k810i which took these pics! Thankyou thankyou thankyou all *mwah* Warren loves y'all!

Eddie Izzard. MJ introduced me to his stuff. He's hilarious. But his jokes done in Lego now that's just downright brilliant! Laugh along too.

You..Cake or Death??? Uhm I'll take cake please.. Well Give Him Cake!

...and this one's wet and this one's wet, and this one's wet.. did you dry these in a rainforest?

ok, you'll get the drift when you watch it.. go on, watch it!

What's happening?

I don't like to write about bad things... sighs...

typhoons, earthquakes, friends of friends passing away, extended family members passing away, good friends being admitted to hospital twice in the same month...

really seems like the "natural" thing to say...and I don't want to be the harbinger of doom here but... The World is coming to an END!!

The sky is falling

The mothership has landed

The universe of our earth is imploding

and on top of all this... I have a friend and he is looking for a life man-partner... my friend is Extroverted/ Social, Funny, Intellectual, Loving, Romantic, Serious, normal, cute with glasses, 32y/o, chinese so if any of you boys are interested in a relationship with him, send me an email! ;-) His criteria for a life partner : Normal, Not more than 10kg of excess emotional baggage, meaty, around his age but younger is fine, who loves the normal things like going out, staying in, movies, dining out, cooking, no mui mui chai, no guys who are too thin, no guys who are way older than him.

My personal opinion? he'd make a great boyfriend in the long term if ou click.

GOSH...what am I? some kind of blogging personals?... ~grins~

On another note...tomorrow is the AMERICAN IDOL FINALS!!!!!... GO GO GO Archie!!!

Tiestolicious

So, there was a small rave party hled in PD, no one but the Trance Guru, Tiesto. Wow! tickets to be got, hotel rooms to be booked, susbtances to be procurred...hahahaha! I missed it due to unfortunate circumstances. However I did get to read about it in the Metro on the Star.

It was a blast so I hear, it was Tiestolicious however PD's assemblyman was quoted to have said that creates a bad image for PD. And apparently another "shocked" partygoer said that "It was sort of a rave party and I must say that it was a culture shock to me" Someone should pull them aside and tell them ...baby, darling, sweetheart... it's Tiesto and Ferry Corsten.. of COURSE it's a rave! *ten points to the genius*

it is 4am... some things are taken as a given.. of COURSE they would be...

A) "not in full grasp of their senses"
B) "some female teenagers wearing swimsuits" because who's got time to go home and change at the stroke of midnight unless you're Cinderella
C) "not ready to call it a day despite it being 4am in the morning."

because it's TIESTO baby!... and it's a beach party so it is also a given that..

some of the so-called "degenerate" youths would crash at the beach because who could care less about
getting a hotel room when you're not gonna be in it because TIESTO is spinning til the "wee hours of the morning"

~chuckles~ we should be so lucky in KL.

p/s Click on the picture to read the full report on the Government's effort
tantamount to endorsing social ills on the Star Metro.

WaZZa is still listening to Tiesto Feat DJ Paul Oakenfold's - The Matrix. If social ills means being loved up, I don't ever wanna be well. Ciao.

American Idol.... love it or hate it..

So popularity or talent? which is more important? Will David Archuleta win it? or will David Cook beat them all or will Syesha make a sudden fantastic comeback and channel her inner diva and whoop ass at the Top 3 performance?...

who cares?... the producers probably rigged it already.. they all know who's gonna win it already... bla bla bla.. over 51 million votes said Ryan Seacrest but how do we really know about the voting?... hmph.. who cares.. hahahaha.. I am just a junkie who loves it when they sing well and love it even more when they fuck up!

Whatever it is, I'll be tuning in to watch... cause I'm such an AI Junkie... plus.. David Archuleta's SO so cute adorable...mmmmmsquish him *LOL*

It's been too long....

What the hell have I been doing? It's been a wonderful year. It's been a trying one at times too. This is why I haven't even had the time to do up my blog even though I've got scribefire on my Firefox complete with updates..

Highlights of the year...

Celebrated my one year anniversary with my loved one. Love you bebe! To more years and endless fun together.

Met Chef Emmanuel Stroobant!!!! To those not in the know he's the Chef in Black on the Asian Food Channel ( Channel 703 on Astro). He worked here in Shangri-La KL for a food demo for California Raisins. He is left handed like me too!!! hahahah and he is hillarious, charming, funny as well as oh so pleasing to the eyes. I got a pic with him and his Pastry Chef who is actually the quiet cute one as well. Yummy. Worked with him for three days and it was the best 3 days of my entire working career! and I've got the autograph to prove it too! I'm a happy boy! YAY!!

I've been promoted to Chef De Partie position at the Pastry Kitchen. MUAHAHAHAHA I've got more power!!! You know what they say, Power Corrupts and Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely. Ah I shall not forget the little people who I've stepped on to get to this level. hahaha! Kidding! I've been waiting for for ages. I thank God for this blessing.

Hmmm can't think of anymore highlights... Ohohohhhhh I've got a juicy piece of news but not now.. will update y'all in a couple of months about it. Something big something exciting something like no other in KL! Wait for it! Watch This space.

WaZZa is O.U.T!!
